Face and figure, just needs shoes

ZOE Anderson has filled out her application form and is on the hunt for new shoes.

Standing 186cm tall, Zoe is the latest entrant in the Miss Universe pageant preliminary event to be held next weekend at Park Beach Plaza and, like Cinderella, her ideal footwear won’t be so easy to find.

“I need some new high heels but with size 11 feet I’m having trouble finding anything decent,” Zoe said.

Zoe’s face will look familiar to patrons of the Coffs Hotel; this ex-Woolgoolga High school student is one of the busy baristas behind the cafe’s coffee machine.

“It was actually a couple of regular customers who prompted me to put in my application,” she said.

“I have always watched the Miss Universe pageant on television and really look up to the girls, especially Jennifer Hawkins.”

It has been a big couple of weeks for Zoe, not only has she been preparing for the Miss Universe heats and looking for those elusive shoes but she has also been accepted for training with Virgin Airlines.

“I found out on Wednesday that I have a cabin crew position with V-Australia, it’s just so exciting. Luckily they don’t want me in Sydney until April 20 for training, which is a couple of days after the Miss Universe preliminary event here in Coffs.

“The management at Virgin are also very supportive of me entering the pageant.”

When Zoe isn’t busy pouring cappuccinos or modelling part time she enjoys travelling, relaxing at the beach or spending time on her latest passion – rock climbing.

“It’s such an adrenalin rush, so exciting, I started doing it at the Links Gym and then moved to outdoor climbing – it’s definitely more fun than shoe shopping.”

The Miss Universe Australia 2010 Regional NSW preliminary event heats will be held at Park Beach Plaza on April 17 at 1pm and 3pm with the final on April 18 at noon. All welcome to cheer on the contestants.

Today is the last day to enter, details at: www.parkbeachplaza.com.au
