EXPLAINED: Where all the smoke is coming from

IF YOU noticed smoke around Kingaroy today, you would be surprised to find it is not from a nearby fire.
A QFES spokesperson said the whiff of smoke in the air was from a fire on the coast.
Smoke from the Teewah Beach and Lake Cooloola fires have been drifting across the South Burnett.
If affected by the smoke, residents are encouraged to close windows and doors and to keep medications close by.
Motorists should drive with caution through smoky conditions.
