Expert reveals private life of feathered friends

BIRDWATCHERS are in for a treat with noted ornithologist Professor Gisela Kaplan returning to Coffs Harbour this Saturday for a workshop at the Bunker Cartoon Gallery.

Professor Kaplan conducts research for the University of New England's School of Science and Technology.

The focus of her work is the study of birds, including their physiology, song and behaviour. She also rehabilitates birds and other species in the Coffs Harbour area.

Her expertise and her many entertaining anecdotes are sought nationally and internationally.

Her talk on Saturday - The Private Life of Birds - will reveal plenty of new and surprising details about the diverse bird life of our region

Tickets cost $20 per person, or $15 for concessions, and include refreshments
