Mescalito Blues

What: It is Gavin Doniger's love for the open road that inspires his music, and this is especially true for his main project, Mescalito Blues, which consists of Doniger and any number of talented musicians that Doniger discovers in his travels.

Women Like Us

What: Stand up comedians Mandy Nolan and Ellen Briggs have spent the last three years touring the country with their smash hit comedy show Women Like Us performing over 85 shows to over 25,000 people. Their formula of performing two hours of stand-up, an hour apiece, has proven a huge hit, with audiences in droves declaring this one of the funniest stand-up shows they've seen.

Mad Hatters Market

What: Enjoy activities, market stalls, live music and more at the Mad Hatters market held on the fourth Sunday of each month. Activities include art and craft, fun things for kids to do and delicious food. There's fun for the whole family.

Harbourside market

What: Come along and enjoy discover an authentic outdoor market with a great range of local produce, tasty foods, delicious coffee and amazing handmade art and craft.

Community Garden Open Day

What: Woopi community gardens is inviting everyone to come along for the fourth annual community open day. There will be workshops, kids activities, community groups, music and food. Learn about composting, soil, take a garden tour, permaculture, know your plastics/beeswax wraps and all about seed saving. There will also be an inaugural cup cake decorating competition open to all primary school students.

Bowling for a cause

What: Gather your family, friends and work colleagues and bowl for a cause.

Coffs Harbour local Sue Garvey was born with cerebral palsy and along with her husband Eric Garvey, is trying to raise funds for an auto mobility vehicle.

This will help Eric's back when lifting Sue into their station wagon and regain their independence.

Where: Club 300.

Annie Seaton

What: Enjoy an evening of conversation with Annie as she shares her knowledge of writing and the inspiration that has led to the publication of her new book Whitsunday Dawn. Each winter, Annie and her husband leave the beach to roam the remote areas of Australia for researching her eco-adventure stories.
