Ella chases modelling career

MODEL Ella Rose Corby is leaving Kingscliff to strut her stuff in Australia's fashion capital.

The 18-year-old home-grown beauty will depart for Sydney tomorrow after being signed to Bella Models.

Miss Corby said she was filled with nervous excitement during the build-up to her big move.

“It really hasn't hit me yet, but I like adventure and I am so excited,” Miss Corby said.

“I'm nervous too because it's my first time away from home.”

Miss Corby received word she had been signed to a professional modelling agency late last year.

“Once I get to Sydney I will start going to castings,” she said.

“I'm excited to do both catwalk and photography work.

“I love photography and being in front of the camera but the catwalk is very exciting and there is not a lot of opportunity to do that here.”

Miss Corby has her sights set on conquering the international fashion world as her career progresses.

“I love to travel and I'm hoping to do a lot of it,” Miss Corby said.

“My mother is English and my Dad is Canadian so I definitely have the travel bug and I want to work oversees.

“I'd love to do Australian work like the Bonds campaign, but overseas I would love to work during Milan Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week and I want to work for Vogue.

“I just want to do it all.”
