Early voting centre open in Coffs Harbour

PRE-POLLING in Coffs Harbour has begun today with dozens lining up to cast the first votes of the Federal Election.

Campaign signs and volunteers for various political parties and local Independents were scattered around the entrance to the pre-polling centre at 2/115 West High St.

Federal Member for Cowper Luke Hartsuyker was among different party volunteers vying for the early votes of Cowper and Page residents.

Pre-poll voting opened yesterday nationwide ahead on July 2.

Those eligible to vote early can do so from now until Friday 1 July.

Across New South Wales' 47 seats, 314 candidates have nominated compared with 352 candidates in 48 seats at the 2013 election.
