Early commuters are flighty

THERE has been a strong reaction to the news revealed exclusively in the Advocate yesterday that Virgin Blue is about to drop its early morning return flight between Coffs Harbour and Sydney.

From next Friday Virgin Blue will axe its weekday flight leaving Sydney at 6.25am and returning to the city from Coffs Harbour at 8am. It has instead scheduled a flight leaving Sydney at 11.40am and departing Coffs Harbour at 1.15pm.

The carrier is retaining its late afternoon flight which returns to Sydney at 4.20pm.

The timetable change has upset a number of professional commuters who argue the change will have a significant and negative impact. We’ll detail their concerns in Monday’s Advocate.
