Drugs seized during vehicle stop in Glenreagh

A MAN will face court after police allegedly discovered large quantities of prohibited drugs during a vehicle search in Glenreagh.

Shortly before 5pm on Saturday, officers from Coffs-Clarence Local Area Command stopped a vehicle on Orara Way, containing six people allegedly on their way to a rave party in Glenreagh.

Police searched the occupants and the vehicle and allegedly located 97 MDMA (Ecstasy) capsules, a quantity of cannabis, amphetamines and two bottles of LSD liquid in a back pack.

A locked safe was also located in the vehicle where an additional 93 MDMA capsules and a small amount of cannabis was allegedly found.

A 22-year-old man in the car was arrested and conveyed to Coffs Harbour Police Station.

He was charged with several offences including:

- Supply prohibited drug - indictable quantity (MDMA)

- Supply prohibited drug (cannabis)

- Supply prohibited drug - large commercial quantity (LSD)

- Possess prohibited drug (four counts)

The man was refused bail to appear before Coffs Harbour Local Court.

Another male and female occupant in the vehicle were also allegedly found to be in possession of cannabis and were issued with Cannabis Cautions.

Inquiries are continuing.
