POLICE have struck gold after swooping on a quiet Woolgoolga Street in their search for illegal drugs.
As many as seven police officers led by the Target Action Group uncovered cannabis worth an estimated $130,000 when they raided a home in Landrigan Close at 1.50pm on Monday.
A tip-off led them to the property where they uncovered a crude hydroponics set-up in a wardrobe where one large cannabis plant was growing.
They also seized 1.75 kilograms of cannabis leaf, four tablets suspected of being amphetamine and 62 cannabis seedlings growing in pots outside.
A man, 41, was interviewed at the scene and detectives have confirmed charges are pending.
Police inquiries into the haul continue.
