Motorist dies in collision with cattle truck

UPDATE: A motorist has been killed after his car and an empty cattle truck collided along the Brisbane Valley Highway.

The fatal accident took place about 7.50am, 2km south of Harlin.

The male driver died at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

The highway was closed temporarily as the forensic crash unit investigated the scene.

 

11AM: Police are currently at the scene of a fatal traffic crash at Harlin in the Brisbane Valley this morning.

Initial investigations indicate the crash involving an empty cattle truck and a utility occurred around 7.50am on the Brisbane Valley Highway about 2km south of Harlin.

The driver of the utility died at the scene.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

The highway is currently closed at the scene with diversions in place for light vehicles.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

There is no further information at this time.

 

9AM: A motorist has been killed in a fatal crash in Harlin on the Brisbane Valley Highway.

It was reported that a car collided with a truck along the highway near Sinnamon Lane.

Police and emergency crews were called to the scene about 8.30am.

The Forensic Crash Unit was also sent out to investigate the accident.
