Drive-by shooting at empty home

A NUMBER of shots were fired at a Coffs Harbour home.

About 1am  on Sunday, it's believed that a car drove in a southerly direction along Prince James Ave before the unknown occupant/s of that vehicle discharged several shots into the home.

As the premises were unoccupied no one was injured.

The vehicle was only described as being a silver or white late model utility, possibly a Holden Commodore.

It was seen leaving the area at speed in a southerly direction along Prince James Ave.

Police from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command were contacted and attended establishing a crime scene.

A short time later police located a resident of the property and returned to the home to conduct a search.

Police have conducted a canvas of nearby homes but are appealing for anyone who saw or heard suspicious activity in the area overnight to come forward.
