Drake surprises Australian fans with November tour

CHART topper Drake will tour Australia before the end of the year.

The Canadian singer and rapper has announced surprise dates in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne for November as part of his Boy Meets World tour.

Drake will play Qudos Bank Arena on November 7 and 8, Brisbane Entertainment Centre on November 10 and Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena on November 18 and 20.

Presales start September 12 with the general on sale taking place September 15.

Drake's music has broken streaming records over the last three years with a string of hits including Hotline Bling, One Dance, Hold On We're Going Home, Too Good, Fake Love and Passionfruit.

Last year's album Views became his first Australian chart topper after No. 2 placings for If You're Reading This It's Too Late and Nothing Was the Same.

He last toured Australia in 2015 - the European leg of the Boy Meets World tour featured no less than 40 songs in the setlist.

Drake's success in the US chart is remarkable - since May 2009 he has never not had a song in the Billboard Top 100 at any stage.

All Australian shows are all ages.
