CANOE: Sunshine Coasters Alyssa Bull and Alyce Burnett filled the top two places in the K1 1000 at the World Cup event in Poland.

The duo, who were finalists in the K2 500 at the Rio Olympics, led the field in windy conditions.

"We really wanted to go one-two on the podium and we are just happy we did that and we really didn't care what order,” Bull said in a Paddle Australia press release.

Burnett said it was a special outing.

"Obviously you always race to win and that's what we were doing and I'm stoked with the one-two.”

They were also part of the women's K4 500 crew with Cat Mcarthur and Jo Brigden-Jones, which just missed out on directly qualifying for the final.

They were edged by the the home crew.

"Every race we get to learn something new,” Burnett said.

Racing at the regatta was due to continue last night (AEST).
