Break-in suspect startled

POLICE have issued the description of a man wanted for questioning over an attempted break and enter at Dorrigo’s Mountain Resort.

The suspect, believed to be aged in his late teens, was startled by a hotel guest on Sunday night and fled the scene.

Officers were told the offender had prised the screen off a window and was in the process of entering a room of the Waterfall Way resort when he was disturbed about 10.45pm

He was described as being aged either 17 or 18, of a skinny build with short blonde hair.

The offender was wearing a red and white flannelette shirt and faded jeans.

It’s believed he left the scene on foot.
