Dolphins surfing in the sunshine

DOLPHINS are playing it up on the Coffs Coast this week under a pulse of swell and magic spring weather.

Surf photographer Tom Woods snapped a pod of porpoise surfing the waves at Shelley Beach, Emerald Beach.

"There's always a pod out there, about four of five of them saw the guys in the line-up and sprang into action really showing the surfers how to surf,"; Tom said.

"They came through on one of the best sets of the day, leaping and showing off, it was great,"; he said.
