COFFS Harbour soprano Michelle der Kinderen and Brisbane-based tenor Geoffrey Knight will combine their musical talents for a night of live opera at Sawtell Cinema on May 20.

Divine Duets will see the pair present a semi-staged concert of some of the best-loved duets from the opera repertoire.

The vocal offerings will include O Soave Fanciulla from La Boheme; the Drinking Song from La Traviata, and The Prayer and Time to Say Goodbye by Andrea Bocelli.

Sawtell Cinema is an atmospheric venue which has hosted many entertainments over the years, but opera is a new departure that the pair of singers are hoping will pique the interest of locals from far and wide.

Tickets for Divine Duets are $25, concession $20 and are available at Sawtell Cinema; The Hub in First Avenue; Sempre in harbour Drive in Coffs Harbour and The Village Nest in Bellingen.
