Dirt Tracks reveals stories of yesteryear

MORE than 100 Sunshine Coast locals who contributed their family photos and stories inside the new historical book, Dirt Tracks, celebrated the book launch at the Sunshine Coast Daily office last Friday.

Sunshine Coast Council coordinator of community, programs and events, Janine Symons, spoke at the event along with Sunshine Coast Daily editor Jenna Cairney.

Dirt Tracks tells the fascinating tales shared from the descendants of just some of the courageous Sunshine Coast pioneering men and women, giving an insight into why they had streets, parks and landmarks named after them.

Dirt Tracks is available at Sunshine Coast newsagencies for $9.95.
