Demon to face Magpie mates

FORMER Collingwood premiership player Heretier Lumumba says he can't wait to take on his old teammates for the first time since being traded to Melbourne last year.

Lumumba (pictured), who played 199 games for the Magpies, said he was really excited about the opportunity.

"It's going to be a great experience and I'm really looking forward to just being able to play and have fun," Lumumba told the club's website.

"I know all of their strengths and all of their weaknesses, and I know pretty much what we're going to see tactically, although I think Bucks (Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley) has got a few tricks up his sleeve.

"Having said that, I've trained with my ex-teammates for over a decade so it's going to be a lot of fun.

"This time, once you cross the white line, it's going to have a different edge to it and then we'll really be able to go toe-to-toe, like we weren't able to do at training."
