Deadly celebrations for NAIDOC Week

COFFS Harbour will be deadlier than ever next week when a talent show featuring up-and-coming indigenous performers takes to the stage at Jetty Memorial Theatre.

The Deadly Factor 2014 will pit two teams against each other as part of celebrations for NAIDOC Week.

In the lead up to the event, organiser Lockie Skinner and Cassey Lynwood have been helping the acts hone their performance skills.

The third deadly factor will also feature performances from past winners Taktix and Narina Fergusson.

"The Deadly Factor is always great fun," Lockie said.

"It is a special opportunity for our Aboriginal youth to share their wealth of talent with the whole Coffs Harbour community, Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal.

"The teams have been working hard for months to practise their performances."

The event will also feature performances by Brittany Lee and The Deadly Sista Girlz

The Deadly Factor will be at the Jetty Theatre. The entertainment will start at 5.30pm on Tuesday.

Entry is by gold coin donation.
