Dare Gallery furniture showroom opens at Homemaker Centre
MODERN furniture and homewares store Dare Gallery will open its first Sunshine Coast shopfront on Thursday at the Maroochydore Homemaker Centre.
Originating in Melbourne in the 1995, the warehouse-style furniture business has now chosen Maroochydore to launch a new look, with a high louvre ceiling and open, modern showroom feel.
"We have had our eye on the Sunshine Coast for sometime and Maroochydore, with its expanding population and economy, is the perfect location for our new Dare Gallery store," general manager Patrick Doyle said.
The store will be Dare Gallery's 12th in Australia and its third in Queensland.

Mr Doyle said the company delivered two truckloads of goods to the Sunshine Coast every week, and local people had been keen to know when it was coming to the area.
He said the company had conducted research into consumer trends to find out what people living on the Sunshine Coast were looking for in interior styles.
"Coastal style is very popular - with neutrals, blues and nautical hues reflecting the easy beachside lifestyle," he said.
"Natural materials such as solid timber, stone and copper are also currently trending, bringing an earthy look that works well in freestanding homes as well as apartments."
Located on the main level in the Maroochy Home Maker Centre, the 1000m sq store features floor to ceiling glass frontage. Five local people had been employed to work there permanently, Mr Doyle said.
"We have create specific 'zones' that showcase various items within the range, mixing and matching styles, colours, fabrics and accessories, to excite and inspire. We believe in helping customers to create their own look that reflects their personality and style," said Mr Doyle.
The Maroochydore store represented a new venture for the retailer, and would pave the way for future stores.
"We are really excited to unveil our new-look showroom here in Maroochydore - the first of its kind," Mr Doyle said. "We have developed it with local customers in mind, many of whom are looking for innovative design solutions for their homes," Mr Doyle said.
