Dancing all the way to the USA

A YOUNG man from Nambucca is dancing his dreams, after winning a chance to audition with an American ballet company.

Myles Urquart, 18, was recently awarded two Marianne McIntyre Ballet Scholarships - one for a week-long traineeship with the Melbourne Ballet Company, and the other for a five-week summer workshop with the Minnesota Dance Theatre in America.

And that's not all, since the talented Coffs Coast dancer impressed the judges so much that he was also offered a week with the Milwaukee Ballet and an invitation to audition with their 2nd company.

Myles said it's a dream come true.

The young dancer drives more than an hour to get to Woolgoolga for his classes, and Woolgoolga Dance Studio owner, Rebecca Ross, said Myles shows great dedication and focus.
