Dan Murphy to tap into Coffs custom

IT'S touted as a premium liquor outlet and it's on its way to Coffs Harbour.

Dan Murphy's will soon set up shop on the Pacific Highway on the former service station site just up the road from the Plantation Hotel.

Preliminary site works are now under way and the store is scheduled for opening by the middle of next year.

The store, which will create 30 new jobs, will have access from the Pacific Highway and Elbow Street at the rear.

“Dan Murphy's has proven to be very popular and we're very much looking forward to coming to Coffs Harbour,” said Simon Berger, the community relations manager with parent company Woolworths.

“We think we do a very good job with our range and our service and we think a lot of customers will support that.

“Dan Murphy's has around 3500 different products and about two-thirds of these are wine.

“It caters for the most discerning customers and we have a track record of responsible sale of alcohol that is second to none.”
