The Dalby outfit scored four tries to one in the qualifying final win.

Ther game was a tight contest in their early going, with both sides scoring early.

Dalby were able to gain a crucial try just before half time to take a 14-5 lead into the break.

Dalby were the better side in the second half, keeping the Goondiwindi attack at bay.

Two more tries for the Wheatmen sealed victory.

Coach Bart Tuner said he was impressed with his team's performance.

"It was an awesome performance from the boys,” Turner said.

"We trained really well and credit goes to our young kids who have come into the senior grades and have really stepped up.”

The Wheatmen now face Chinchilla, who finished the season on top of the table.

Chinchilla beat Dalby in both of their fixtures this year, but the Wheatmen coach said he has confidence in his squad to make it to the C grade grand final.

"I think we can turn it around against Chinchilla next week,” Turner said.
