Dad saves young boy after deadly snake bite

A YOUNG boy has his dad to thank for saving his life after he was bitten by a potentially deadly snake.

Lawson Goodall, 4, was 40 minutes from Toowoomba on his family's farm when he was bitten.

Lawson's father Scott told 7 News that he rushed his son to hospital, bandaging his arm and keeping him calm to minimise blood flow.

He had learnt first aid at work.

Medical staff have confirmed that Lawson, who is recovering after receiving antivenom.
