BUNDY'S mums have spoken out about the challenges they face both as working mums and stay-at-home mums.

Most mums felt that mothers were judged heavily no matter what they decided to do.

Bekki Lea agreed.

"What I was told when I didn't have a job: 'What a dole bludger.. Just popping out kids to receive a pay cheque from the government. Why should my hard earned tax support you and your feral children'. What I was told when I did have a job: 'Why have kids if you're just going to dump them in daycare. Why should someone else raise your kids for you. If you didn't want them you should have had an abortion or used contraception and not been so lazy. Lose lose no matter what we do."

Callie Jaslyn Drescher said unpleasant opinions were nothing new when it came to being a mother.

"All Mums get judged, doesn't matter if they are working, stay at home, breastfeeding or formula feeding," she said.

Kristy-Lee Moor said it was time for mothers to stop picking each other apart.

"Really at the end of the day it's not about who's got it better or who's worse off," she said.

"We as mothers need to stop judgement on each other in general - we need to stick together and support each other's options and choices.

"It's gotten so out of hand in the eight years I have been a mother. As long as we do whatever's best for our children and our families and support each other that's all that matters."

Carissa Lane said she felt like she was judged more harshly when she was working than when she was at home.

"People judge mums, full stop. Sometimes it doesn't matter what they do. I certainly felt more judged when I was working than staying home though."

"Mothers should be supportive of one another yet they can be the harshest critics," Tanya Drew added.
