Child abuse material

A COFFS Harbour man, 63, was arrested and charged with possession of child abuse material on Wednesday after hundreds of images of children were allegedly found on his computers during a search of his Boultwood St home.

The man was also charged with possession of prohibited drugs. He appeared before Coffs Harbour Local Court on Thursday and has been refused bail.

 

Cannabis plants

A FERNMOUNT man, 24, will appear in Coffs Harbour Local Court next week after police allegedly discovered more than 200 cannabis plants and seedlings, 3kg of cannabis, amphetamines, cash and prohibited weapons during a search of his Fernmount home.

The man has been charged with numerous drug and weapon charges, and dealing with the proceeds of crime. He was refused bail.

 

Stolen property

A COFFS Harbour woman, 20, was arrested at Coffs Harbour Railway Station last Saturday in relation to a number of stealing offences around Coffs Harbour.

Police will allege the woman and accomplices went to various local pharmacies where they stole perfume and other items.

The woman was charged with stealing matters, possession of stolen goods, assaults, intimidation, drug and other matters. She will appear in Coffs Harbour Local Court on Tuesday.

 

Drug charges

POLICE seized prohibited drugs, prescription drugs, cash and allegedly stolen property during a search of a Bradford Dr home in Bonville on Wednesday.

A woman, 24, was arrested at the scene and charged with knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime and a number of drug-related offences.

During the search a second woman arrived at the scene and after being questioned was charged with an outstanding warrant, disqualified driving and possession of prohibited drugs. The 24-year-old was refused bail.

 

Domestic incident

OFFICERS were called to a domestic incident at Glenreagh on Wednesday where a man, 45, was arrested after police noted injuries to a woman's face.

Police will allege the man threw an item at the woman, hitting her in the face and causing a cut above her eye.

The man was issued an interim AVO and will appear in Coffs Harbour Local Court on Tuesday.

 

Break and enter

IN THE early hours of October 9, a south Coffs Harbour restaurant was broken into by two people.

Damage was caused to property inside the restaurant and some drinks were consumed.

Last Friday, police went to an address in King St in Coffs Harbour and arrested a 23-year-old woman. She was interviewed and charged with break and enter. A second woman is also being sought by police over the matter.

 

Breach of AVO

A COFFS Harbour man, 24, will appear in Coffs Harbour Local Court after a domestic incident in Park Beach.

About 1.20am on Wednesday, police were called to a Vincent St home where the man was found intoxicated and in breach of a current AVO. At the time of his arrest he was in possession of cannabis.

He was charged with breaching his order and possession of prohibited drugs.
