Indoor cricket move a success

MOVING a mile up the road to Industrial Drive looks like it’s already proving a winning move for the indoor cricket centre if Sunday’s official opening is any guide.

Relocating to a position that has a more user-friendly car park and quieter surroundings as major assets, the new centre is set up to be ideal for families and children.

The move came after spending nearly 30 years on the Pacific Highway and it was fitting that the new centre was officially opened by one of the longer serving players in Donny Sonter, who has been involved with indoor cricket for almost the entire time the centre has been open in town.

The opening was followed by those in attendance getting straight into some matches with cricket being played on one court and netball on the other.

The new centre will continue to offer cricket, netball and volleyball competitions as well as being available for hire for soccer carnivals and private functions.
