Crews monitoring Seaforth bushfire

FIRE crews are on scene monitoring a bushfire at Seaforth.

The blaze broke out around 2.30pm yesterday near Gormleys Road, in the vicinity of Mount Ossa Seaforth Road, Seaforth.

A QFES statement said the blaze was contained after firefighters used heavy machinery to construct containment lines yesterday.

The fire poses no current threat to property.

Smoke may affect Seaforth and surrounds.

If affected, residents should close windows and doors. Those suffering from a respiratory condition should keep their medication close by. Motorists are advised to drive with caution and to conditions.

If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call triple-0 (000) immediately.
