Driver trapped in Glenreagh crash

A NASTY car crash near Glenreagh resulted in a trip to hospital for one motorist.

Police, paramedics and the SES were dispatched to Orara Way about three kilometres east of Glenreagh at 10.50pm on Friday following the two-car accident.

“One person was trapped and we extricated him from his vehicle and he was taken to hospital. There were no other injuries,” Coffs Harbour City SES unit controller Bill Roffey said.

Emergency crews were at the scene for about 90 minutes.

Police inquiries into the cause of the accident were last night continuing.

Elsewhere at the weekend, rescuers were called to accidents in Pearce Drive at Coffs Harbour and at Arrawarra.

Meanwhile, local SES crews have been sent to central west town of Warren to help with flood relief efforts.

Two teams from Coffs Harbour arrived on Saturday afternoon and are set to return home Thursday.
