Cracking good time in whip contest

THE Wicks Family Whip Crackers, Steve and Katie Wicks from Gunnedah, gave free coaching throughout the Coffs Harbour Show, followed by the whip cracking competition which was open to all for the cost of a gold coin.

Cash prizes to the value of $150 were at stake as well as the Open prize, a hand-crafted leather stock whip.

The competition winners were as follows:-

Under 12: Nicky Wray, Lachlan Wray, Tom McEntyre and Tameka Spies

Under 16: Emily Winkenwerder, Chris Elwell, Euan Willis and Juda

Open: Sally Townley, Rebecca, Robbie Veitch and Chris Elwell.
