Counting down to Coffs Coast Rally

THE Coffs Harbour and District Sporting Car Club has had a busy 2008 season.

Club president Martin Quinn is elated at the steps the club has made throughout the year with one of the highlights being the upcoming ARC/State round here in Coffs on November 15 and 16.

Since the beginning of the season, the club has endeavoured to boost its profile in the community by ways of bringing the sport back to the people.

This has been achieved by conducting Motorkhana and Khanacross events at venues such as the BCU International Stadium and the Coffs Harbour Showground.

Coupled with an influx of rookie junior drivers and the interest from previous members regarding the ARC round, the clubs future is very strong.

While the Club Motorkhana season is over, there is a final round of the Coffs Harbour Earthing Khanacross series being held in December to complete the year.

With the impending Australian Rally Championship round fast approaching, a further call is going out for assistance with road closures and assorted volunteer positions. If you want to be involved contact Scott Bedford on 0408 867 990. There's just 23 days to go for the Coffs Coast Rally.
