Bellingen Council waiting to hear on rate rise

BELLINGEN Council is still waiting to hear from the NSW minister for local government about the success or otherwise of the application for a special 5.9 per cent rate increase.

The council's general manager, Mike Colreavy, said yesterday the decision must be imminent because all councils are required to have their rates resolutions completed in July.
