Council to vote on new tavern plans

PLANS for Woolgoolga's proposed new Beach St Tavern will be considered by Coffs Harbour councillors tomorrow.

The third iteration of plans for 78 Beach St show a three storey mixed-use building of contemporary design, with a hotel, two shops and four residential units.

Previous plans for the site dating from 2009 and 2013 have included a four-storey building with eight residential units and a two-storey building with four residential units.

Parking on and for the site has been a bone of contention during consideration of previous plans, as has the proposal for a tavern near the beach and a children's playground. The new DA attracted three objections.
