Council plans under consideration

COUNCILLORS will consider management plans for the year ahead based on two different scenarios at next week’s meeting of Coffs Harbour City Council.

The June 24 meeting, which will be the last for this financial year, will see councillors look at plans with and without the proposed 4.4 per cent rate increase.

The proposed special rate variation is being sought to fund the next $6 million phase of the council’s flood mitigation work program.

If the NSW Government approves the proposal, it will be applied on top of the State Government capped rate increase of 2.6 per cent to make a general rate increase of seven per cent.
