Council offers one lucky student with a great opportunity

TOOWOOMBA Regional Council and the University of Southern Queensland are offering an engineering scholarship for 2019.

The scholarship will provide an opportunity for an undergraduate to gain hands-on experience to work in a large organisation whilst they study.

The successful applicant will be part of a program which will provide real experience in a supportive environment for undergraduate and graduate engineers.

The engineering team are responsible for a 10,000km road network, extensive drainage networks, water and transport infrastructure and manage assets worth more than $3 billion.

The scholarship is valued at $20,000.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake 50 days paid work experience per year as an intern in the engineering team.

Applications for the scholarship close at 5pm on Friday, October 26.
