Connect to nature

CONNECT with nature through the National Parks and Wildlife Service Discovery program of holiday walks, talks and tours.

NPWS North Coast region manager Alan Jeffery said many of the holiday activities would showcase local Aboriginal connections to coast and country on ranger-guided canoe tours, rockpool rambles and bushtucker tours.

“Whether it's a bushtucker tour at Bongil Bongil National Park, exploring the cultural sites and coastal habitats of Warrell Creek in a canoe, or a chat with a local Aboriginal Discovery Ranger at Muttonbird Island, National Parks Discovery brings to life the cultural values of the national and marine parks of the coast,” he said.
