ENSEMBLE LIAISON: Trio will kick off the Coffs Harbour Music Society’s 2010 Autumn and Spring Subscription series.

Concert series is one of six

THE Coffs Harbour Music Society’s 2010 Autumn and Spring Subscription Series gets under way next month.

The first concert, on Friday, March 26, will feature the Ensemble Liaison – Timothy Young on piano, Svetlana Bogosavljevic on cello and David Griffiths on clarinet – playing Beethoven’s Trio in B flat major, op 11; Bartok’s Six Romanian Folk Dances for Cello and Piano; Gershwin’s Three Preludes for Clarinet and Piano and Brahms Trio in A minor op114.

The Ensemble Liaison was formed in 2006, performing its debut concert for the ABC Classic FM. It has evolved into a collective vision for a permanent ensemble combining the beauty of clarinet, cello and piano.

The Coffs Harbour Music Society has been presenting the subscription series concerts for 15 years, featuring Australian and international classical musicians, drawn largely from the renowned Musica Viva program.

There are six subscription series concerts a year, held in Lecture Theatre D at the Coffs Harbour Education Campus in Hogbin Drive. All concerts begin at 8pm sharp at Lecture Theatre D, Coffs Harbour Education Campus, Hogbin Drive, Coffs Harbour.

Tickets are available for sale two weeks before the concert date. Subscribers enjoy preferred seating at substantial discounts on individual concert ticket prices.
