Comedy bonanza for Buskers Festvial
A FESTIVAL favourite is returning to MC what organisers believe is one of the strongest adult comedy line-ups to date.
Get ready to laugh out loud and maybe blush a little, when the Buskers Festival lets loose with three nights of adult comedy at the Pier Hotel and being a smaller venue, it offers an intimate vibe similar to the better comedy clubs.
This year the program features two nationally recognised comedians, Lindsay Webb and Joel Ozborn, whose resumes list an impressive swag of Sydney and Melbourne Comedy Festival appearances, national television shows and their own headlining shows. Lindsay is a festival favourite, this is his third visit and he will also be the MC.
Supporting will be rising comedy stars Umit Bali, an Indian comedian from Turkey known as the world's "most confused comedian”, and Sean Michaels who is making a name for himself on the Sydney scene. Each night they will be joined by one or two buskers brave enough to take on the stand up genre.
"The mix of busking comedy and stand up is totally unique to this event - no one else does it,” said promoter John Logan
"The Pier is a small venue where everyone is close to the stage. It's no cover charge, we just ask for a hat donation.”
