
Cold snap returns with chilly vengeance
THOUGHT freezing mornings were a thing of the past for the Sunshine Coast? Think again.
The region woke to a return of the cold snap, with temperatures plummeting to below 4C in Maroochydore.
The Sunshine Coast Airport recorded temps of 3.7C at 5.30am, which crept up to 4.1C at 6.30am.
Nambour reached 6.5C at 6.30am, Tewantin got to 6.2C and Beerburrum was just 4.2C, according to the Bereau of Meteorology.
The Coast should see a top of 21C today at 22C for the rest of the working week.
But it should warm up just in time for the weekend, with maximum temperatures of 24C.
