Website to keep parents informed
A COFFS Harbour mother has created a one-stop website for families eager to find things to do on the Coffs Coast.
Alison Paul, the creator of coffsforkids.com, said the site is taking off in a big way and is welcoming organisations, community groups and businesses to advertise their events.
“As a mother I just found there were so many great things being held for kids on the Coffs Coast.
“But quite often a lot of people I spoke too only found out about the events after they had been held,” Ms Paul said.
“The website is the only one of its kind on the Coffs Coast and is a great resource for local families and carers.
“Tourists will also benefit from all the information and all the wonderful places and activities available for their kids when they visit our gorgeous city,” she said.
Coffs for Kids has also branched out onto social networking sites to keep parents and families in touch with what is happening locally.
“We have the Facebook page up and running which is another great resource, and we are happy for any group to advertise their events on our site for free,” she said.
The website also runs a host of competitions offering prizes supplied by local businesses.
This stunning image of kids playing at Moonee Beach Reserve, taken by Leanne Leach, was the winning entry in the recent photography competition which marked the launch of the website.
