Coffs school warns parents of industrial action
COFFS teachers have warned parents of industrial action to take place tomorrow.
Orara High School posted a notice on its Facebook page stating normal lessons would start from 11am following the stop work meeting called for by the NSW Teachers Federation.
Teachers will be asked to vote on a new salary deal from the State Government, with the NSW Teachers Federation trying to get the current 2.5% pay rise cap overturned.
The notice said there would be minimal supervision at the school from 8.50am if parents wished to send students to school at normal time.
Students dropped off at 9am are instructed to go to the quadrangle, where they will be allocated rooms to go to.
Buses will operate at the usual times.
If students are to start the day at 11am, parents need to make their own arrangements to take their students to school.
Students should bring books for periods three to six.
The school day will end at the normal time of 3.18pm and all bus arrangements will be as normal.
