Teacher to retire after 23 years

FOR Annie Hirst, the past 23 years have been filled with hat parades, Christmas concerts and finger painting.

When Annie's children graduated from Coffs Harbour Community Preschool and moved on to ‘big school' she couldn't resist staying behind and becoming a staff member at the centre.

Now the familiar face at Coffs Harbour Community Preschool, affectionately known as ‘Miss Annie', is retiring.

“It's been a big part of my life, it's a beautiful centre and the staff has really made every day so much fun, I'm going to miss them so much,” Annie said.

“Over the years I've met so many lovely families, I've enjoyed every minute.”

To catch up or say farewell to ‘Miss Annie', drop in to the Beachstone Cafe at North Sapphire Park this Sunday from 1pm to 4pm.
