Missing: Hannah James.
Missing: Hannah James.

HAVE you seen Hannah James?

The 14-year-old has been missing from her Coffs Harbour home since Wednesday and police fear for her safety.

Hannah was last seen by her father at her Grafton Street residence about 9am that day.

Police have been told she left home with two bags filled with her belongings.

“We’ve had some information that she stayed with a friend on Wednesday night in Coffs Harbour, but has moved on and she is believed to be staying with another friend,” said Detective Sergeant Suzanne Rode-Sanders, the officer in charge of the case.

“Investigators have been speaking with the missing girl’s friends and acquaintances over the past day in an attempt to establish her whereabouts.

“It is possible she is staying somewhere in the local area, but police do have concerns for her welfare as the disappearance is out of character.”

Hannah, who has an identical twin sister, Vivienne, has been studying at Orara High School.

She is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 150cm to 155cm tall, with a very slim build, short brown hair, blue eyes and freckles.

She was last seen wearing a black hooded cardigan and dark clothing.

Anyone with information about Hannah’s whereabouts should immediately contact Coffs Harbour police on 6652 0299 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
