COFFS Harbour Men of League are taking off the footy boots and putting on the flat-soled bowls shoes.

President Peter Barrett has announced a far more sedate activity than normal to start the season.

“We are having a lawn bowls day at Club Coffs on March 13, from 11am for $5 per head,” he said.

“This includes finger food and green fees and we challenge all Group 2 clubs to put a team in.

“It’s a good get-together a week before the pre-season competition begins and I recommend everybody participates to raise money for worthy local causes.”

Prizes for winners are available, with plenty of raffles on the go to help raise money for the charity arm of the organisation.

For bookings or information call Peter Goodwin on 0417 464 036 or Phil Jeffery on 0412 670 601.
