Golden Hearts Ball kicks off

THERE’S still time to be a part of the Coffs Coast’s biggest social night of the year.

The spectacular Golden Hearts Ball kicks off tomorow evening at C.ex Coffs Harbour.

Special guest Rachael Beck – a well-known star of Australian stage and screen – will MC the evening and rugby league legend Eric Grothe and his band ‘the Gurus’ will delight the audience with their ‘party’ style rock‘n’roll.

Eric will be joined by Australian singer Mike Vee who appeared on Australia’s got Talent.

Mike is better known for his show, Whispering Jack which is hailed as the best John Farnham tribute in the country.

As well as helping to raise money to keep the rescue helicopter flying, the ball is an opportunity to bring together helicopter staff, including pilots and crew, with the Coffs Coast community.

Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter media and marketing officer Graham Orams has planned his outfit for the fundraiser and he’s sure to turn heads.

“I’m going to wear my helicopter jacket, pink shirt and pink tie,” he laughed.

Photographer Brenden Ray donated his award-winning image of the chopper in action – Purgatory - for auction.
