Local flood fundraiser a success
JUMPING castles, face painting, stilt-walking clowns and local bands helped make the Coffs Harbour Queensland Flood Relief a great success.
Hosted by the Coffs Hotel, the benefit saw the likes of TV comedian Mikey Robins come out to show his support.
“This was my first request for the Queensland flood appeal so I jumped on a plane and came straight down here.
“Being able to do this makes my job even more worthwhile.”
The benefit received great support from the community and Coffs Hotel manager Donna Phillips was pleased with the outcome.
“We’ve raised more than $12,500 already and we’re hoping to get that up to $15,000,” Mrs Phillips said.
All proceeds will go directly to the Queensland Flood Relief Appeal.
