Many mallets mean mayhem

THE gentle game of croquet will take on added colour and razzle dazzle at Urunga tomorrow.

That’s when Titivators Coffs Coast, C.ex Urunga and the Urunga Croquet Club will join forces to host a major charity fundraiser.

The action kicks off at the Urunga Croquet Club on Atherton Drive from 10am and all proceeds will go to Camp Quality.

“It would be great to get as many people there as possible,” said Maureen Shaw, the president of Titivators Coffs Coast.

“It’s fun, competitive and a very worthwhile beneficiary. We’re hoping everyone will tell their friends about the big day.”

Flat-soled shoes will be a requirement for this special event and equipment will be supplied.

Raffle and craft stalls will also feature and a sausage sizzle will be laid on to keep participants well fed. Cost is $20 per player.

Considering Camp Quality has the theme Laughter is the Best Medicine, the fundraiser is shaping up to be a smiles all-round affair.
