Coffs Coast students happy with HSC results
THE WAIT is over for hundreds of Year 12 students from across the Coffs Coast who received their highly-anticipated HSC results today.
Director of the Coffs Harbour Senior College, Dianne Marshall said her year 12 cohort performed extremely well this year in their exams.
She said more than half of students scored a band 5, between 80-89%, or a band 6, above 90%.
“They’re extraordinary results this year, 79 of our students got band sixes ... over 53% of our students got over a band 5 or 6,” Ms Marshall said.
Former Bishop Druitt student, Countney Robinson had her alarm set at 6am along with the majority of the 70,000 HSC students across the state who logged in to find out their results earlier today.
Scoring band 5s and a band 6 in her subjects, Courtney was very happy with her results.
And the feeling is mutual among her cohort says Courtney, who said many ex-students woke up relived with their results.
“Everyone’s done really well, one of my friends got 95% in textiles,” she said.
Now equipped with their HSC results, Courtney and students around the state are counting down to the release of their university rank, the ATAR, tomorrow morning at 9am.
“I’m a little nervous, you never know how they’re going to scale it and how everyone in the state did,” Courtney said.
