Coffs Coast produce a feature of food fair

BONVILLE vegetable grower Kim Vincent and Woolgoolga blueberry growers JS Benning and Sons will be among the farmers whose produce will feature in the NSW Farmers Regional Food Fair in Sydney on July 29.

The Regional Food Fair was introduced last year as a new part of the NSW Farmers' Association Annual Conference and proved a runaway success.

NSW Farmers regional services manager for the Mid North Coast, Michael Burt, said about 450 people were expected to attend the event, including Sydney and regional media, 'foodies' and chefs.

Kim Vincent's tomatoes will be used in tomato martinis with baby bocconcini and olive oil and Jas Benning's blueberries will be incorporated into Granny Smith apple and blueberry pie with vanilla cream.

Norco is providing the rich cream for the event, which will feature 31 different types of produce.

The 2008 NSW Farmers' Association Annual Conference will be held from July 29-31 at the Sydney Showground.
