Coffs Coast is on the app

THEY already know where we are on the map, but now visitors to the Coffs Coast can find 101 things to do here with the new Coffs Coast Travel app.

Coffs Coast Marketing has combined the must-see and must-do experiences of Coffs to create a holiday app, incorporating traveller reviews.

"We wanted visitors to have a say on what they thought were the best activities, experiences and attractions of the Coffs Coast region, and to be able to share this with other travellers in a simple and easy format," said Coffs Coast Marketing tourism manager Glenn Caldwell.

The app lists the 101 top activities, ranked in order as voted by users. Each time the app is accessed, the user clicks an icon and rankings will change depending on votes.

It also includes a filter allowing users to select travel information and destinations within the region based on their interests, as well as introducing them to areas beyond the typical tourist trail including some of the top bushwalks and scenic drives.

A 'did you know?' piece of trivia for each operator will keep users and their kids entertained, and discount vouchers will change each season for regular and repeat visitors.

A GPS map feature allows users to access sites around their location, and to view the distance to each attraction, while a favourites icon stores their top sites to be viewed again.

"The app is a great pre-holiday planning tool, but is also handy when you're here on the Coffs Coast," Glenn said.

The Coffs Coast Travel app, developed by Coffs Coast Marketing together with Great Apes Media, is free to download for Android and iOS devices including phones, iPads and tablets.
